About Ads Served by CareerOne.

CareerOne shows customized job ads to you through our Career Ad Network. These ads appear both on CareerOne-affiliated sites (“CareerOne Sites”), and on third party web sites that participate in Career Ad Network. Customized job advertising is based on your interests, which are inferred from certain demographic and geographic data and the search terms you enter when using CareerOne Sites – for example, job seekers interested in nursing careers in Sydney, NSW - and is not linked to your personally identifiable information without your permission. At CareerOne, we strive to provide a safe, secure environment and to provide you a clear and transparent view of how we treat your information. Visit our Career Ad Network page to learn more about how the Career Ad Network and its cookies work

About Ads Served by Third Parties.

In addition to ads served through Career Ad Network, we also allow third-parties, including ad networks, to serve ads when you visit CareerOne Sites. Click here for additional information on ad networks currently serving ads on CareerOne Sites. These companies can view, edit or set their own cookies as if you had requested a web page from their site and they may use demographic and geographic information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number), as well as information about your searches on CareerOne Sites, in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you. To aid third parties in determining which customized ads you see, CareerOne uses third-party services to help it manage information it collects about you, such as information inferred from certain behavioral, demographic, geographic and personal data that you enter or upload when using CareerOne Sites. For example, if a person named “Mike” registers with CareerOne, we would infer and store a gender value of “male”. Click here for additional information on third parties we currently work with to manage your information.

We may from time to time use additional third parties as well to help us manage this information. CareerOne will periodically update the references to such third party service providers for your information. CareerOne may combine this information with certain other non-personal information it acquires from third-parties, including information about your activities on other sites, to allow the ads served to you to be further customized to your interests. Click here for additional information on third parties from whom we acquire information.

CareerOne does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a third party ad. However, if you view or otherwise interact with an ad, the advertiser may assume that you meet the criteria used to target the ad (which criteria may have been provided by CareerOne as indicated above) and they will have any additional information you choose to provide to them. CareerOne has no control over, and is not responsible for, the practices of those third party advertisers. CareerOne encourages you to visit their web sites and review and read the privacy policies that govern their usage.

CareerOne also allows third parties to serve ads through forms which may create or generate prospective consumer interest or inquiry into a business' products or services (the “Lead Generation Ads”). When you click on a Lead Generation Ad, you will be directed to the advertiser’s form that will either be pre-populated by CareerOne with information that may include your first name, last name, email address and telephone number or which will prompt you to provide such information. You determine whether or not you want to share this information with the advertiser. If you do decide to share this information with the advertiser, then you should be aware that CareerOne will have no control over how that advertiser treats your information. We strongly encourage you to visit their web sites and read the privacy policies that govern their usage.

Our Privacy Policy shows the choices you have with respect to CareerOne’s use of your information and provides you with general instructions on how to decline cookies. If you do not want to see customized ads, there are several options available to you.
